My last cucumber was only about 1/3 gone before it got gross. I was wondering if I could freeze the slices (of cucumber or zucchini or both) and then thaw them in hot water or something before feeding them to my fish. Has anyone tried it?

How about zucchini? Would that do the same?emo said:You can't freeze cucumber
As you probably know, cucumber holds a lot of water... and this freezes and breaks apart the molecules inside it. So if you froze it, then defrosted it... it would become mush.
The cuke is not lasting too long in the tank, it's going bad in my fridge. I bought a single cucumber for my fish and 2/3 of it got moldy because i don't give my fish an entire cucumber's worth of slices in the amount of time it takes to go bad.OohFeeshy said:I'm not sure... I know when you slice a raw courgette it doesn't seem to have as much water, but... Why not just put half a slice of cuke in?
