Can I Clean Sand After Cycle?

Hi all,

It would seem that my new tank has now completed the fishless cycle so is ready for some fish, Anyway the sand is looking a little dirty so i was wondering if i could give it a good clean whilst doing a complete water change?

If you've completed a fishless cycle, you should do a 100% waterchange and gravel/sand syphon before adding any fish.

Good luck!

Remember to keep the filter media in some tank water whilst you do it all and to condition the new water!

Yep, give the sand a good surface clean.

Give the sand a clean and a little "stir" to dislodge any gases
