was wondering if i can add 4 gouramis as the centrepice fish as my tank still looks very empty!

which are the most placid?

pearls, moonlight, three spot or opaline?

thanks darren

seems ok to me. i think you should go for a trio of pearl gouramis, 1 male and 2 females

Agreed, go for a trio of Pearls,

IMO moonlights are a bit dull and any of the three spot colourations (standard, opaline, gold) can get quite territorial

Dwarf gouramis are supposed to be less aggressive. Any male to 2 females should be ok but you will need need lots of cover – plants, caves and other hiding places for the females to hide away from the male.
