Can I Add Anymore Fish?

added a school of 14 cardinals a week ago and 7 have already died.i am very fussy on regular water changes and keeping the tank in a clean state.i took the cardinals outyesterday and added them to my stepsons tank

maybe they were crap quality,or,my tank stats were not to their liking.

here are some of the fish you guys have suggested that i like

rtbs

keyholes

rams

bristlenose

any more fish you can think of that would fit in with my tank???

a few more suggestions then i can go shopping at trimar tomorrow lol

dwarf skunk loaches or black line loaches, not to sure if that is what they are called.

do you like platies, guppies or swordtails?

:good:

not my sort of fish either but some people like them.

what about harlequins?

:good:

no thanks,no harlequins either.

right,i've made my mind up

1 x rtbs

2 x keyholes

2 x rams

2 x bristlenoses

is this possible???

if not,what to leave out????

sounds good to me.

you planning on pairs 1m/1f on the keyholes, rams and BN's?

that tank is going to look lovely.

:good:

hopefully on pairs if the lfs can guess i mean sex them for me.

right, heres my currant stocking and my proposed additions

current

8 x congo tetras
10 x assorted rainbows
12 x assorted cories

proposed additions

1 x rtbs
2 x keyholes
2 x rams
2 x bristlenoses

does this sound ok????

sounds a bit over stocked i think????

your tank is about 70g so your stocking seems ok as you have lot's of filteration aswel, aslong as you keep up your water changes i can't see the stocking as a problem.

all are compatiable with each other so no problems there either.

it's good to go i think.

as to sexing do you know how to do it? as you could then point out the fish for them to catch.

:good:

sorry, thats my max tank dimensions.my tank is 121cm long,42cm wide and 42cm from top of gravel to waterline.

thats why jewel call it a rio 240.

max dimensions? so your saying 121 cm = 48" x 42cm = 16.8" x 42cm = 16.8" you've lost me why measure from top of gravel? bottom of tank is what most people use, the gravel is not a solid block.....

also i read that jewel don't number there tanks after the size of them but i thought that was abit stupid.

anyway that works out 60USG 50UKG 220litres

i always go by the dimensions of the tank, from bottom to top from back to front from left to right.

:good:
