Can Honey And Sparkling Gouramis Be Housed Together?

as above, can a trio of honey dwarfs be housed with 2-3 sparkling gouramis? it would be in a 15-gal tank.
please answer asap as the person is giving them away and has someone else to take them if I can not.

My 2 honeys get along fine with my 6 sparkling gouramis...and a bunch of other fish! Both stay small....I have seen recommendations of minimum 15 gal for honeys so you should be okay. Just as a side note...both of mine love the hanging plants I have stuck on the sides of tank and the piece of bogwood in tank as hideouts. I think you would be okay since both stay small and are peaceful. There aren't any other fish in there are there? Just keep your eye out to make sure all is well!

edit: how do you hang your plants on the side?? are these real or plastic/silk plants?

yeah, ive kept these together with no probs - but they were all added at the same time, and to a 30g tank. If anyone decides to spawn I think you may need the second tank after all

Well, its hard to say for certain since males will be agressive towards all males that resemble gouramis.

I found at Petco some hanging plants with purple flowers on them that suction cup to the glass. May not be a real "natural" look, but they are pretty and my sparkling really seemed happy to have them when I first brought them home. They will still dart in there if anything startles them.
