Can Fish See In The Dark?

Hi all. I've been wondering if my fish can see in the dark. I'm thinking they probably can, otherwise they would be bump into things all night. Can nocturnal fish like my Black Ghost see really well, and the others not so well? My Betta builds bubble nests at night, so I assume he can see what he's doing, although I don't think he's nocturnal as such.
