Hi!

I have two fully cycled tanks and plan on being gone for four days. Can they go that long without being fed or should I have someone come in at least once to feed them? I have done every other day before and that seemed fine.

Tank info:

10 Gallon:
1 Male Betta
5 Dwarf Rasboras
3 Algae Shrimp

16 Gallon:
1 Male Betta
3 Dwarf Rasboras
6 Ember Tetras

Thanks!

They'll be fine for four days with no food. Best off not having them fed, as you won't be there to monitor water quality, or do any water changes.

If your lights aren't on a timer, then leave them switched off :good:

personally i would have someone pop in to check filter ect is still working and theres been no powercuts ect, at least once, that person could feed them at the same time

If you have someone to feed them and are worried about portions they feed... you can get a weekly pill box and fill the compartments with the right amount of food.

I'm about to leave mine for a couple days as well, but with no one to feed or stop in. Since I have guppy fry I'm separating them into my shrimp tank and leaving a portion of a food block.

And hide the food tubs just in case the person that comes in thinks you are being a bit mean with your measured portions.

I have left mine for ten days before and they were fine without food. As has been said, I would be more worried about power cuts.
