can anything large go with guppy fry

nope, they would be eaten. what tank size do you have though? Maybe when they are sold if you have a large tank a 3-7 inch fish will be okay in there.

The only thing I can think of that might work would be Cories or Otos....but they don't quite reach the 3" mark... -_-

Plecs will leave them alone. I had common plecs with platy fry, no one got eaten.

How big is the tank? common plecs get pretty big and their waste/ammonia load may cause a hazzard to the fry although the plecs won't eat the fry.

You could go for whiptails or bristlenoses etc if you dont want the size of the pleco. Also considering fry are reknown for not eating all their food some cory's in their would probably help

Just too clarify, would it be ok to put a pleco in my 25 litre tank with my mollie fry? We have a tight over our filter so filtration in the tank isnt at its best, and i was wondering if a pleco would be a good idea to remove all the old food etc off the bottom of the tank?

Obviously i would move him once he is too big

If you have excess food on the bottom of your tank and it is still there after 15-30mins it means you are over-feeding your fry and not gravel vaccing or syphoning the bottom of the tank enough or cleaning it by other means.

:/ there is some food on the bottom, i normally give them a small pinch of the crushed up flakes. Im worried about giving them any less because a small pinch seems like not enough as it is.

I feed them twice a day, is that the correct number of times? Once in the morning and once in the afternoon/evening

I try to feed my swordie fry 4-5 times a day. I also keep 3 or 4 corys in the tank for cleanup duty. The corys don't bother the fry and have even spawned in the tank with the swordie fry.

Ive herd that if you do have plecos the albino ones are best to have, other wise when the lights are out the black/brown ones will eat the fry.
