I know this isnt a very good pic... But I found this in the goldfish tanks in walmart. there were 2 of them in there and i bought them both for 28 cents. They look a lot like guppies to me. I have 4 other guppies in my tank and these look like plain almost colorless (except a slight purple in the front when light hits it) and have a smaller tail than the males. I was told they look like female guppies, but im not sure. I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion. Ill post a few more pics and a video in a minute. thanks.

Not very clear, but looks like a guppy to me. Cant see the anal fin so cant sex it for sure. A lot of the time guppy fry get sucked up into sumps and end up in other tanks, they are also sold as feeders a lot so maybe thats why they were so cheap.
And welcome to the forum by the way.

Drew

Edit:spelling.

Looks like a female guppy or endler.

Well... I actually work there at walmart in the pet department (let me add that im the only one who cares anything at all about the fish sold there) (or about anything else in my department at that.) We only sell male guppies and they are like 3 dollars. these little fish were just swimming around in the cold water tanks with the sarasa comets (i think i spelled that right) which are nowhere near the tropical fish tanks. the guppies are on the opposite side. I thought they looked a lot like guppies so i bought them. the person working thought they were feeder fish (we sell rosey reds) that may have accidentally gotten in the wrong tank and sold them to me for 28 cents each.

feeder fish
Guppies can also be sold a s feeders.
What temp is the Sarasa tank.
Of course they could also be A mosquito fish such a a Gambusia affinis female which can live in sub tropical water.

I think its kept between 68 and 72. And the others are all between 70 something and 82 (tropical ones i mean) all the coldwater tanks share the same water and all the tropical tanks share the same water.
