Hi, 1st post! I have a 3.5ft tank and have 2 big pacus around 10 inches each. Does anyone want them? or can anyone advise where to take them? local aquatic shop arn't interested :(
I'm in Hartlepool, north east england.

Ummm, Hartlepool. Not to far from me. Why don't you try asking on http://www.aquarist-classifieds.co.uk/? If there is no luck there try asking in the sales section here! Hope you fine a home for them soon.

Its always difficult to get rid of large fish, you can put an add in the classified section in here, or on aquarist classifieds which is free. If your local shops cannot take them do you have a sealife centre sort of place localish, sometimes they will take large fish.

Thanks. I also have 2 oscars in with them the same colour as star4's avatar

Cant help with oscars either I have 2 of my own and one lodging with me for a while. That oscar in my avatar is one of a kind

Not sure if you have seen this guys wanted add, dont know if he will travel but its worth a try :good:

Why is it 1 of a kind??? I wanna keep the oscars really as there only around 2" each ;)

That person on the add is looking for pacus as well as oscars :good:

Chops is a one off naughty oscar, I have had him about 2 months now, he was given to me from a shop because of his deformed face, he looks a little like a bulldog  and the amount of mischief he has caused in such a short time is amazing. His story so far is in this thread.

try the tyne mouth aquarium
they might be able to help
you out if not try fish alive at Durham

I'll get a pic of my oscar up, he also has a deformed face ;)

Did you say your tank is three and a half feet? Or did I misread it? Wasn't sure if you meant a 3x5ft...

Anyway, those little Oscars will soon grow, you know... then you'll be needing to find larger homes for them (if it's a 3ft tank you have). People are more likely to take them whilst they are still small and young.

As for Star4s oscar...well that is the infamous CHOPS lol  He's got quite a fan club on here! Such a character and gets up to all sorts of mischief, as Star will tell you.

Awww, he's lovely!!!

I love that 2nd pic down - wow he's super cute!

Is it his mouth that's a bit wonky?

Ah, poor thing but he's still lovely! I wonder what happened? Was he like that when you got him?
