I have a pregnant guppy. I also have about 20 fry in a tank of thier own which are 10 days old. Would it be okay to put the female in with these or could she still eat them. Would it be better to put the breeding tank in with the fry and put her in there. Please anyone help, I dont know what to do for the best. :/

I think the mother could still eat the fry at ten days. It's probably best to keep them separate. I have some Platy fry that are two months old now and I'm just starting to think about moving them back.

Do you have a breeding net or can you get one? I don't think its a good idea to move the pregnant guppy as it could stress her enough to cause her to miscarry. If you could put her in a breeding net you can then transfer the fry to the fry tank after she's finished.

If their is plenty of hiding spaces in the tank and plants put the fry back into the main tank, If you want to carry on breeding it might be best to invest in a 10gal tank.
