Well, my camera has gone missing. I (including my family) can't find it anywhere. It may be time to purchase a new one. So, I was wondering, what camera do YOU use? I am looking for a very affordable one, about 200 dollars or less. As you all know, taking pictures of fish is very different than people. They swim fast and the tank lighting throws everything off. Since I use my camera for fish, I figured I might as well ask you guys what one you guys use!

See if you can get a 2nd hand DSLR worth the money i want from a standard digital camera to the olympus 5-20 e worth the money!

I also use an olympus e-410 that i picked up second hand with a sigma lense for close ups
it can still be tough catching them tho!

I have a nikon d80 with macro lens. It's still incredibly hard to get them though. Reflections from the tank glass and the speed they go both add to the difficulty.
I previously had a bridge camera (not a dslr, but more features than a point and shoot) It was a fuji one and was really good. The speed of focusing wasn't brilliant, but the macro was excellent. If you can't stratch to a dslr, I'd highly recommend a bridge. A polarising filter does help some with the reflections and manual focus also helps a lot.

In my case i have a nikon d40, fuji finepix bridge, kit lens and tele lens for the nikon, a small range of filters etc...

anyway, the fuji range might be a good option. i think http/fujifilm.co.uk/consumer/digital/digital-cameras/d-slr-long-zoom/finepix-s1500 thats the updated version of the one i have, and just looked on amazon and it's $209 in the US (at least on there)

as has been said, focusing can take a while but you can get around that, switch to manual focus, get it focused where you want, then either wait for the fish to be in the right place (not always possible) or move your body back and forwards to fine tune the focusing...

i did write more before but i can't be bothered to write it all again.

I looked it up. It's a nice camera. But, the price was like 450 dollars for a new one, and 90 dollars for a used one. But, I don't know if I trust buying a used camera. Who knows what could be wrong with it. I wouldn't want to have to deal with a seller who sold me a faulty product.
