I live in Surrey and have been using Maidenhead Aquatics in Guildford for some time now(excellent selection of fish). Ever since I've been goin there they've had a massive Shark Catfish that they rescued couped up in a tank.

Just noticed today this guys actually goin free to anyone who can provide a suitable home for him!!

So if anyone out there's got the room for him, he's about 2- 3 foot long then go an d get urself a beautiful fish for nothing. :D

Seriously this fish is big and will need a massive tank.

don't they get to 8 feet though?

they should give him to a public quarium or something

Yes I would agree with that try a public aquarium he will be well looked after.

Ive seen the fish and it is seriously BIG, i doubt there is anyone on here with a tank large enough to house it as it will need a minimum of a 12x6x4 tank to its self!!!

However The Aquatic Experience at Syon Park in Isleworth may be able to take it for them to go into one of their huge indoor ponds.

S**t, they really do get big. Next time I'm up there I'll pass on the info. CFC got any contact info for Syon Park? Contact name etc...

Cheers Ash

You can ring The Aquatic Experience on 0871 560 9499, no contact name but whoever answers the phone should be able to help.

As for their being a branch of MA in Syon park this is true although they are not conected to The Aquatic Experience in any way, also as most branches of MA are a franchise they do not converse which each other, as can be seen by the fact that two stores (Syon park and Osterly) which are barely a mile apart have completely different prices and policies.
