Calcium Sand Substrate

..just throwing this out here.

I have left over sand from my leopard gecko (who is now on tile)
would it be alright to use it.
Its made of calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate.

Would it harm potential plant or shrimp i want to put in?

It won't harm any fish or plants, however, it WILL raise your PH & KH, so unless you are keeping hardwater species (such as african cichlids), it shouldn't be used.
