Calcium Reactor Question

I'm planing on buying a calcium reactor for my newly disigned reef tank but the thing that worries me is I have no room in my sump. Does a calcum reactor need to be in a sump? also i'm looking into a PH reactor too. Does this need to be in a sum or just a pump with ther reactor outside of the sump?

They dont need to be in a sump. Buy one that is uitable for both installations.

I ordered one already today before I read your post. it's a coralife CR it goes for 140$. Im getting it tomorrow. Let you know how more about it when I start to use it
