Anyone point me to a decent co2 kit. Not used one before so would not have a clue what to look for or how to use so any advice is appreciated.

if you want CO2 you will want pressurized for a 125 litre.
whats your lighting? wattage? T8 or T5?

Its going to be for my new tank mate. 400l coming thursday. Not sure on lighting at the moment.

For a 400L you'll want to go for something like this: http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index.php?...roducts_id=1047 (what I use): then get a 2kg fire extinguisher for it. A bigger CO2 canister would be even better, since you will be able to go longer between refills (a 400l tank will require a fairly high injection rate).

To save CO2 you should use a solenoid too, this one is cheap and works brilliantly: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CO2-magnetic-valve-s...id=p3286.c0.m14

and you find it ok with one glass diffuser in a 400l tank???

i'd personally look at an external reactor, more efficient and less clutter in the tank.

If it's placed well it should be great, it's a decent sized glass diffuser and should be enough :good:. I've used one on a 300L tank with no issues, as with any glass diffuser, its important to get a good flow of water over them so the bubbles aren't just going straight up.

Having said that, I use an external diffuser/reactor on my tank (which is only about 80L), just because it takes less cleaning and I like making things.
