My beautiful lyretail male swordy took his final death jump today.....he leapt from his tank to his death.....I just found him dried up behind the tank.
It is partially my fault, my swordies tend to be jumpy and he was in a 10gal tank that is not enclosed. I had done my best to seal all gaps though and thought it was jump proof. Perhaps he went looking for his fellow female lyretail swordy who committed suicide last week.
SOOOO sad. I have had no luck with lyretails. I think they would have been OK though, had they not jumped....both beautiful healthy fish. Perhaps a trip to the LFS is in order B) They have some beautiful lyretails ATM that I saw last week and said "no, I allready have 2, I don't need anymore".....perhaps this is a sign.....
Bye bye little fishie......RIP....
