Buying Wlamart Plants

ok, today i bought 4 walmart aquarium plants. i know their tanks are ver disgusting so when i got them home i soaked them in anti bacterial meds for an hour to make sure there wasn't anything bad to get into my tank. i pruned them up, and covered the roots in the gravel. i know its not good to buy stuff from walmart esspecially if it was in one of their tanks, but i was short on funds and short on time, at 4 bux a plant u cant go wrong what kind of sucess do u guys have with walmart plants? mine arnt looking very good atm, but im sure their purk up. any recommendations on how i can get them healthy quick? iv kept a planted tank before but i got rid of all of those plants because it became a pain just to keep it going. iv got a fertilizer/conditioner med for planted tanks i could use, but iv nvr really seen much success with it, any particular fish safe meds u can recommend?

they did not ahve the names listed, and they were sold at walmart so a i assume they dont require to much light as walmart has no lighting at all. i have a floresent lighting on my tanks, ill ahve to get back to you on the exact ammount, i gotta dig up teh packageing
