well i have got one !!
I am a bit confused though, i have added the right amount of tap conditioner and bacteria to get it started. But will i keep having to add the bacteria for a period of time? also how long should i leave it before adding fish??

its only 60 litres though, but i can have some more fish in that as well.

do most fish get on with danios and guppies, like tiger barbs and Platys? because i was thinking of getting some of them.

If you have a filter for your first tank (the biorb you mentioned) take the filter out of that and run it in the new tank (60L). You should then transfer your fish immediately too (the guppy/danio). This will help get your new filter (you did get a new filter?) going properly.

You can continue to add the 'bacteria in a bottle', but most of the time it isn't a great help.

Tiger barbs and platies should get on fine with your current fish but I'd wait just a little while before adding them (5-7 days if you run your old filter alongside your new). But you should ask advise in a separate thread for stocking advise, that way more people can help you there.

edit: tiger barbs can be nippy though so be careful adding them as they may harass your guppy. They also prefer to be in shoals (6+) and need a bit of swimming space.

I woldn't put tiger barbs in a 60 litre, they max at 7cm per fish and are very active and need shoals of preferably 6+ to cut down aggression, id say 20gal bare minimum
