Buying A Tank.... Help

Pets @ home ok for dry goods but I personaly would not buy the fish, Ask around on the forums for anyone that knows any good fish shops your area.

well i went to another pets at home store and bought a tank

i got a jewel rio 125. I asked just for the tank, not the stand cos we had no where to put the stand, and when we got home we realised they had sold us the stand too
so we have to take it back later. doh.

anyway, took me agesssss to fill it up with water, dont have a hose pipe so was filling up cooking pots with water to fill it up!

anyway, its all standing proud now, have to wait another week before i can add a couple of hardy fish and then according to the instructions, another 8 weeks before i can get more. bit confusing...

if you don't have it on a stand, then what is it sitting on? please note that 125 liters of water weighs 125 kg, which is about 275 lbs. tank stands are designed to hold this weight without collapsing; if you have your tank sitting on a tabletop or counter, you may want to find a good place for a stand.

the tank is sitting on a side. which is like, a wooden side built into the house, which is technically the ceiling above the stairs. im not sure how to describe it. im hoping it doesnt collapse
