Hi. Buying on a budget so it's eBay time. Seen a light fitting that seems to fit my tank but the lamp is meant for a marine tank rather than tropical. The lamp details are...

Does anybody know if this WILL be fine for a tropical tank. I'm thinking not all sellers tell 100% truths.

wont really do any harm, though it may well give you algae from hell after a while. i would replace it with a tropical Beauty light, or if you plant the tank, a plant light of about 6000k. both should cost arount £10, well if you live in my area anyway
