Busy Weekend

I got to move my 260L tank to the other side of the room to make room for my new (second hand) juwel rio 400L at the weekend. Hope my fish will be ok. I'm going to change gravel to sand in the 260. After this is done my fish will go back in the 260. If the water is cloudy will the fish be ok? When the 400L is cycled my clown loaches will go in there. The 400 will be sand as well. Looking forward to it but worried about my fish as I just lost a load in my 180

ooo nice

i would let the tank clear a bit ( maybe while its heating up)... the fish will be fine in buckets with a heater... the only way anything will go wrong is if you start to panic... trust me,ive been there lol

ps what filter is going on it? if poss add some filter wool/floss thatll speed up the clearing.. shouldnt take more than a few hours tho.. wash your sand really well! - i dont envy you that job

The fish will not be affected by the sandy water.

Just use a plate when you pour the water back in, and this will prevent the tank getting too "sandied" up.

the sand cleaning is the borring bit I'm going to put my fish in my 180L ( not the one that had the desease ) all that's in that tank is 3 silver sharks and a pleco, think it will be better than buckets.
260 - juwel internal & fluval u2
400 - juwel internal & fluval 405. Not confident with using a second hand fluval external so I may buy a tetratec 1200.
I got a new camera so this will be a good excuse to test it will post some pics at weekend
