Busted Heater :(

I brought my new boy Charlie home this afternoon and got him settled into his tank. He had some faint stress bars, but they've mostly faded now. Long story short, I just happened to check the thermometer in his aquarium and found it to be cool. My heater is non-functioning! How long can a betta live at room temperature? I know it isn't ideal, and I hate to stress the poor little fellow out further I'm ordering a new 25 watt heater and am paying for expedited shipping...do you think he'll make it until it arrives?

I he should be fine as long as it isn't freezing he will stay alive

Yup, he'll be fine. I had that happen to me over a holiday weekend and couldn't get a new one right away so I just upped the temp in my house a few degrees and "sweated" it out until I could get the heater in, lol, the things we do for our fish

I've already adjusted the thermostat, lol. If it gets much cooler, Charlie is getting a nice towel wrapped about his new home.

Or you could put him in a black plastic bag or something and put him in another tank with a functioning water heater.

My heater went last week,my fish were fine for a day you could heat your room to 80 but that shouldnt be needed he will be fine its a pain when they go it meant i know have to put on hold a fish i wanted keep us updated
