Bumble Bees In My Tank [ Video ]

never heard of bee nerites , but they love blood worm , they munched 1 quarter of a cube in 2 minutes flat !

yeah the horned nerite have a yellow and black pattern i think and are called bee snails some times

the sand is called carib sea, its almost white, and its only clean because its the 1st day of having fish in there , lol

although my 2 filters keep the water at ground level moving really well .....

and yeah horned nerite snails, ive got some on the way , 5 of them :)

How big are them inlets on your filter? If they're as wide as a goby I'd put a sock over it for now until you can get a fine mesh - the first bumblebees I bought got sucked into a filter on the first night and it seemed like such a horrible way to go!!

Nice looking tank though :good: !

theres no way any fish is small enough to get past the inlets on my filters ! thanks too for the kind words :)

Actually one of my BumbleBee's got sucked into the inlet of my filter when I thought he couldn't, but it wasn't a horror story as I found him swimming in there 2 weeks later D:. I love BBG and your tank also, F8 Puffers will finish it off. What brand of sand is that you have mate?

the sand ? its made by *carib sea*

there are at least 20 different types , and since ive thrown the bags away , i cant recall what one i have , lol

i can tell you i used 3 bags , at 26 quid a bag, its either that or go to argos and get that cheap horrid play sand

Ahh nice choice, I got the black sand and you can tell its really good quality :D

This is just a suggestion not a criticism, but you may like to add some largish leaved plants, as when I had my BBG there favourite place to relax was on the leaf of plants :p

there are a couple of plants in there , im off to the fish shop later today to get a gravel vac , 1st water change is coming up , i should really do it today , but ive just add some nerite snails so i will wait one extra day , do you think it will be ok ?

Yeah, its not a neccessity. Just an idea from experience :p...

ive just been to my LFS , disappointed, they have told me there are NO plants i can keep in a brackish tank, despite me asking for vallis , so now im confused, ive read so many times on here there ARE a small handfull of plants i can keep ?

I wouldn't trust your LFS for brackish knowledge to be honest mate, Its quite a specialist field that not many know alot about. I'd take Nmonks advise for plants in Brackish over any LFS :p.

yeah, im going to , ive read his posts before, and from now on , my lfs is going to be 12 miles further away , lol

Hehe, No need to change LFS really, you can't exspect your LFS to know in detail about everything they are human like me or you. Just means you will have to do more research of your own so you know exactly what you want to buy.
