Building Your Own Tank

I am thinking about trying to build my own tank but am not really all that sure of how to go about doing it. What kind of glass can I use? I have heard some people use plate glass but wanted to double check. Would you suggest trying to use a metal frame on it?

Hi. Ya, there's an article in the DIY forum. Most people consider buying a ready made tank cheaper than actually trying to build your own. Unless you're after some strange shaped aquarium, check out the prices in store, you may save some money buying a new one and save the trouble of building one yourself.
