Bug report: new editor top row buttons not working on mobile

Hi,
I am having an issue with the new editor when on my phone,the formatting and insert buttons on the top row of the editor are greyed out and I can't select any of them.

For pictures, the "attach files" at the bottom of the editor works and is the workaround I use when adding pictures from my phone, but I just tried to add an emoji and was not able to get the button working.

In the old editor, I was able to use both the picture and the emoji buttons on my phone.

System: moto g6, android version relatively recent, chrome mobile browser.

click on the triple dot symbol on the top line, then click on the [ ] symbol. That should make the tools operative again. Let me know if that helps.

Seems to work. What does the "[]" button do, and why doesn't it work without it?

It toggles BB coding to turn those tools on and off. Now that you turned on the code, the tools should always work from now on.
