Bubblenest?

Hiya, on the site i see the word 'BubbleNest' mentioned quite alot, does this mean when they ceate a nest of bubbles at the surface?
If so i have never seem shimmer do this before, and its worrying me now, is it something to worry about?

i dont think its something to worry about unless hes gt a female there and hes not building a nest ,and you want to breed him .

yh they make a layer of bubbles on the surface usally under somethink laying on the surface. not mall males make them though some r always making the and others will never make them evan with a female in the tank

Male bettas produce bubbles at the top of the tank. They do this if they are in the mood and can do so to show they are happy. Not all bettas will do this so please don't worry about it! Also Shimmer is still fairly new, it may take a while for him to settle in.

it might encorage him to make one if you have a floating plant in the tank or somethink one the surface he can make it under

i have a bunch of about 11 stems of eoldea in the tank planted.
He just stays aroudn the filter all the time he doesnt do anything else but swim under over the filter.

mine used to hid in the coconut cave when io first got him but now hes settled in he gose round the hole tank

I love shimmer but it annoys me that he only goes around the filter, i have plants, and things for him he doesnt bother with them.

he will soon mine when i first got him would hid in his cave and only come out for food and air and now when ever i go near the tank he swims to me

OMG i foudn osmething he loves!!! i just added an air pumo and he loves it!
hes gliding through it absolutely loads, omg this is great!
