I cleaned my betta tanks yesterday. This morning one was remaking his bubble nest and I noticed one of my other bettas, one who has never made a bubble nest was also making bubbles. Though they were only lasting a few seconds. Could it be possible that he doesn't know how or can't make a proper bubble nest?

They are about the same age, and their water, and tank set ups are almost exactly the same.

Well by the sound of things you are right. If they are same age and tank is same then they should be both doing it. Maybe the one that isnt making a good nest is doing it bad because he doesnt see the point it in etc...

Is the 1st betta (Good nest) next to any females ?

Maybe someone could make another answer about it ?

I have no female bettas, or other fish near them.

They are on either side of my desk, so the amount of light they get, and temperatures are constant as well.

Well maybe the 2nd betta (one not making the nest) has been making them alot more than the other one in a shop and got bored of it more. Or the 1st betta has matured and the other hasnt
