hey!

my betta has been bulding bubble nests for the past few days
i was just wondering what this means besides the obvious that he is rather horny lol
is it an indicator of tank conditions or general happiness or anything? or do they just do them all the time regardless?
jus wonderin, how big are the nests usualy?
its cool watchin him build it,guess it keeps him distracted from eating the shrimps lol

they do that when they are happy, it means you are being a good fishey parent and he is probally happy and healthy,
as for the horny part  it can also mean that they are old enough to spawn,, but by no means does he HAVE to, he can spend his life as a single guy, cause babies are alot of work,, believe me!!!!!!

anyone got pics of a bubble nest? im well interested as to what they look like.

Anyone know how they make them?

Here you go Fruda :good: The male will take air from the surface and then blow the bubbles and keep adding to it until it grows bigger and bigger.
