Bubble Nest Or Scummy Foam?

my darling little 'fish' has a huge 'mass' of bubbles on one corner of his tank, it gets bigger every day. even when i clean him out and disperse the bubbles, it is back within hours.

is this really him continually making a bubble nest, in exactly the same spot, or is it something in the water? im getting a bit worried now?

Nah that is your little darling making you a nest! Some bettas are very prolific nest makers

wow im really impressed! does that mean he's happy then? i have just bought him a bigger tank (he is currently in a 1 and a bit gallon 'vase' and i go to pick up his 25L tank tonight. what if he doesnt like being moved?

He is happy, yeah. Not all bettas make nests so you shouldn't worry if he suddenly stops - but when he is doing it, he is happy and in good health! he may sulk in the bigger tank at first, so just try to add lots of plants and hidey holes so he can feel secure. 25l isn't huges anyway so it won't be too large a step up for him, and i think he will be very happy once he settles in!
