Hi,

I am currently holding my plants ready for my new tank is a 24 x 8 x 8 inch holding tank. Co2 at about 3bps and light at 48w. No substrate. Water changes 2 - 3 times a week.

I have my ADA CO2 ceramic diffuser under the Eheim spray bar outlet on an Eheim 2213 filter.

I have been told that CO2 deficiency is a causal factor of brush algae yet the area which the CO2 is being sprayed at (due to the spray bar pushing the CO2 on the bottom of the tank) is causing a large outbreak of brush algae on the bottom of the tank!!
Humm, its confused me. if i would have predicted anywhere for brush algae to form it would have been there!!

Any ideas or theories.

Some algaes like good flow, bba is one of them ;)

Also look at the holes on the spraybar and what do you see? this is how bba replicates itself around a tank so easily.

Yea, i see ur point. But if u can image the spary bar is say what 20-25cm and the CO2 diffuser is under one point of it of width say 6cm, the algae line is just in that 8-10cm path of the CO2 bubbles.
