My plants in my current setup appear to be darkening in colour with a brown/black residue appearing on them, pretty sure it is algae of some description. I use a weekly fert, currently api green leaf. In the past my plants have generally done well but in the last few weeks they have taken on this unsightly colour. I notice my rocks are also looking like they have a lot of algae too. Any ideas on how I can prevent/reduce this?
