Brown Water

I did a 50% water change on Sunday (2 days ago). Now the water is starting to go yellow/brown. After two days it's not too bad. Some would say it's quite attractive. But after a week it looks horrible. It just looks like dirty water. I put a large piece of bog wood in the tank about three weeks ago that I assume is causing the discoloration.
What I want to know is, will this eventually slow down or will the water always change colour this fast?

water changes will, eventually, get rid of it. even so this stuff is actually good for fish,

did you put the bogwood in boiling water before you put it in the tank ?

It will eventually slow down. This happened in my tank as well..I've had the wood in the tank since setup on Dec.26 2007. It still changes the water color but at a much slower pace. For the first month I was changing water every other day. Now I only have to change the water (because of the wood) every 5 or 6 days! Also..the wood was too large to boil in a pot..so no I didn't boil it. Just keep up with the water changes and it will get better!
