Brown Water

I recently put some wood in my tank, and a few days later the water turned brown. I have some activated carbon in the filter, but it is seven months old. I have heard about reactivating carbon, but I'm not sure how. Can any one help?

you buy new carbon, if you want to reactivate carbon get a huge furnace.

Any other ways apart from using carbon?

time itself, water changes, taking out the wood and boiling it a few times. Theres nothing wrong with the brown water (tannins) but if you find it ugly you can get rid of it if you want.

It think it looks natural.
