My 10 gallon recently cycled tank with no fish yet has brown algae growing on substrate. Is this a serious problem? If so what do I do? Thanks.

Probably diatoms but would appreciate a picture. They are common in new tanks and will go away by themselves after a few weeks.

Here is a photo. Thanks

Put some Seachem Phosguard in your filter ( i put mine under the fine fleece and use more than Seachem state to use) and it's bye bye diatoms (brown algae).
