My 240ltr tank has taken to producing a vast quantity of brown algae all across the front glass and especially on the the gravel at the front. The flow from the filter pump directs the water down and towards the front of the tank.
I have white coarse gravel which goes a muddy brown after only 3 days.
I don't have many fish 25 asorted tetras and 6 corys, they are fed 3 times every 4 days, so they go at least 1 day without food. The tank is fully cycled and all the balances are within acceptable limits.

Any one give me some helpful advice?

Has the tank been newly set up? Have you recently changed the substrate? Or have you had an ammonia spike?
These are the 3 main reasons for diatoms. It looks nasty I know iv been there but trust me when I say it will go when its ready. Normally takes 4-6 weeks to disappear.
