hi I cant find any info on this. One of my needlenose broke his nose. His nose is two inches long.but top half has 1/4 inch broken off. I know this is common, but my question is will it grow back? I'm hoping he will be able to eat his minnows... he uses his "beak" to catch them. Since this is so common , I was hoping someone would know... thanks in advance. Wolfefish

OUCH!!!!! Sorry but I don't have a solution I haven't looked into these fish. Hope you find some help

I had one of my needle nose break its snout and in the short time it lived after that i saw no sign of it growing back, but that dosent mean it wont. (dont worry the injury didnt kill it, it was murdered by the other needlenose  ) The one with the injured snout suffered no problems at feeding time that i noticed and seemed to get just as many of the guppes as it always had.

I'm not sure that it will grow back but the best chance would be to add a treatment called melafix. this may help it to heal and wil also stop infection.

Good news. he is eating. thanks for the info. he looks funny... but it looks like he will be alright. thanks wolfefish
