Broken Juwel 180 Light

Anyone know how to fix or where I can get a cheap one as I dont fancy paying £70 for a new one

how old is it? do you know whether or not it is the bulb that has blown?

its about 2 year old, It was my mates tank and I bought it after a week of it being set up it I nudged slightly and it went off and hasnt come back on. Ive took the bulbs off n out em back and that. Both bulbs dont come on.

It's possible that one of the bulbs may have blown, as both of then are required for the unit to work. do you have the tank receipt?

It is most likely the bulbs or starter. I'm not too familiar with this brand of light, but a T8 fixture should only have blub or stater issues at only two years old.

Dont have reciept Il buy a bulb and see if its the bulbs then. Hope it is, the tank is so dull without lighting

i had this so bought two old arcadia starters and fitted them

Yes its a pain, mine just went two days ago, it is inside the unit, as my lights come on normal if i switch it on in the wall,then about 1-2mins it goes off again, iam stuck aswell.....do you have a light unit where you can connect any size lightbulb? i checked mine with one of these and the lights worked fine...

well pretty much drilled the lid and cut it then took the arcadias apart and put the starters in and wired themm to tghe jewel bulb end holders

but you can get the power supplies off ebay for like kitchens and fit them i think
