Welcome to the board.

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

I use fresh veg but I suppose you could you frozen. You just blanch the veg for a few minutes.

been asking the same questions , only had mine a couple of weeks , cucumber , carrot , potato , i have a prawn in there just now , zuchini , just blanche it before it goes in , don't leave in longer than overnight , I usually just put in the evening and out in the morning , these items are only an occassional treat , usually staple diet of algae wafer , have seen them eating left over flake etc
the're cracking wee plecs :good:

No, out of the things you've mentioned the prawn should be an occasional treat, the rest (veg) should really be given daily/every other day. The algae wafers would suffice it but a good varied diet will keep it far healthier ;)

LOL, yeh i know all about the 'old' feeling, your very welcome on the help :good:. I would usually leave a prawn in for the overnight 12hr ish period, just on the safe side rather than it degrading and risking it playing havoc with water readings.

My BN's were pretty much the same, didn't really touch prawn but loved bloodworm. I guess it really is down to the individual plec to what they prefer.
