I got two bristlenose plecos one has huge bristles and is bright orange the other one has bristles but they are smaller and he/ she is lighter in color, they are both about 3 inches long. I assumed the one with less bristles was a female but since I have has them quite a while and they haven't tried to breed now I'm thinking they may both be males? Here is a pic... Thanks!
I can't get picture to post... Says file is too big and I'm not sure how to make them smaller from a phone.

You can upload the pic to a photo hosting site (I use Photobucket) and then post the IMG code here :)

I cant remember but if they have bristles then yea they'll both be males. You need one with no bristles at all.

The females can have 'stubble' but yes the girls should have nothing there. He might be developing slower than the other male?

The bristles are supposedly there to show the female how.. Virile and fertile the male is. The bristles are meant to imitate fry/wrigglers.
Check out my babies!

Sorry to be rude and ask a Q of my own but..

I'm wondering if I have a female/male pair because one is a definite male with loads of bristles at around 7 cm. The other one is a little smaller at 5 but has no sign of any. Do you reckon the smaller one is female? Because the male started to grow them at like 4 cm.

How long/mature are they before they start breeding btw?

Sorry to ask a Q on this topic but I didn't want to make another when there is one right here.
