This is not setup for display, but for breeding purposes, and after today i'd say they are pretty happy lol I have now got fry everywhere, both albino and common

That's really neat! :D Aren't plecs hard to breed?  Got any closer pics of your fish?

Bn breed like rabbits

  Other plecos are more difficult.

Al- you are now going to learn two lessons about this hobby. The first is that bn breed like rabbits and they will spawn about every 5 weeks give or take. The second is while your tank is heaven for the bn, when the time comes to get your babies out of that tank, there is basically only one way. You will have to remove almost everything from the tank, aside from the water and the sand, to do so.

But pleco fry are just so dang cute........

The commons and albinos, like TTA says, breed like mad things. I've had breeding colonies before :)  I also have a colony of Peppermint BN, they on the other hand can be very difficult to breed. They dont mature until they are around 2 yrs old and are very temperamental.

Oh this tank wont be too bad for catching, when i had the 4ft setup, that was a wood/plant nightmare lol

What made this lot suprise me is that there was not a one in there yesterday, and today there is about 300 of the little beasties lol. And yep, they are definitely cute!

Very cool. I'd want to grow up there :)

look forward to seeing the progress.

Up close and personal with one of the girls

I'll try to grab some more pics tonight :)

Aw hello there! Can't wait to see more pics. Tank looks lovely btw.

looks great hope they're all doing well :) how bigs is the tank and how many pairs do you have :)

The tank is 3ft and there are 3 pairs

Underestimated, there are actually 4 pairs lol

This is being pulled down today and all the fish moved to their new tanks

Hope they enjoy their new tanks! :D

I will start organising to move these guys tonight. I've decided i'll fill the new tanks, chuck the heaters in and sponges and get that running. Will let em come up to temp, will then remove substrate and decor from this tank and move over to new tanks.

I will need to rinse substrate, and blast the plants for one tank as i do not want any of the red cherries moving in it, as it will be home to yellow cherries in the future, and mixing them in not something i want to do. Then the big catch and move will start, this outta be fun lol

Oh boy started the move, gonna take a while, there be LOTS of BN in there lol
