Bristlenose And Amazon Sword

I've heard it's a bad combination as the bristlenose fish like to eat/graze on the leaves and damage them, potentially affecting growth of the plant etc. Is it a problem with a well established plant or only unestablished ones?

The way mine are growing, something eating a couple of leaves would save me breaking them off...
