Bristle Nose Pleco White Marks

My bristle nose has these marks on him. Are these normal? They look like scars to me? Any ideas please

Hi, no that doesn't look normal it is difficult to see from the pic but when viewed from the side are the patches raised or flat?

They aren't raised. They slightly go in. Looks just like when you scrape yourself. If that makes sense
He sleeps right by the heater. Do you think they could be burns?

They could be Bristlenose are quite prone to this, I would get a heater guard just to be on the safe side.
