I have a 17g tank currently housing a albino cory and a julli cory and soon to have 2 small angels because i want to give them a bigger tank than the 10g they are in at the moment but i will be buying them a new bigger tank once i get some money together... So im jus wondering if i was able to put a bristle nose catfish in the 17g with them? I also want to get some rummy nosed tetras in there too.. Would that be ok till i can move my angels to a new tank?

Not in my opinion. They create too much waste for a small tank like that and it would be harder to keep the levels good and would be more pressure on the filter with less water than there should be to dilute the waste.

I think that until you get somewhere for the angels, I would not add any fish that tank up the space or that put pressure on your filter.

Perhaps others will think different but I tend to give plecs/ancistrus a lot of space because of the waste they produce. Bristlenoses also get to a reasonable size.

Ok cool thanx for you advice cheese its much appreciated! :D What do you think about the rummy noses could i put them in with them? :/

No, because as I said they will take room away from the angels as they occupy the same space.

Sorry, it's just my opinion. Only you can know how much space there is, what are your levels like?

:)

I dont know... Im going to take the water down soon and get it tested... The cory's have been in the tank for about 2 weeks now and seem to be doing fine but im not going to be putting the angels in till the water is perfect, so ill be getting it tested soon...

Hi Aj86 :)

I have to agree with the advice Cheese Specialist gave you. IMHO, it's always best to stock a tank slowly and carefully to avoid overcrowding. If you will be getting a larger tank, please wait to get more fish.
