Hi i went and got recently some bristles im not a novice in feeding and taking care but would like to know if this is breeding behaviour or terrtorial

My females is about 4-5inches long

My males about 3.5-4.5 inches long (more 3.5)

But last night they where fighting i had just put waffers in but they had never had a fight until last night

Seemed my male started it and my female kept it going after my male sat there still she kept going all ontop of him quick move ments etc

Males a norm. brist
And females a long finned ( not the one in the pic lol) has shorter fins then the one in the pic as she is still young

Any help would be great thank :good:

Territorial disputes along side food disputed are very common amongst plecs. It could be leading to breeding behaviour but an the other hand it could have just been a one off fight for food... time will tell.

Btw if your female is 5 inches, she wouldn't be classed as young but rather a virtual if not full grown adult.
