my fren gave me one full container of brine shrimp(0.5 gallan)!!!!
that is alot!!!!!!so will they grow to adults if i take care of them properly?

Live brine shrimp are among the best foods your fish can get! Not sure how to go about raising them though. I read an article on it about a year ago but have not bothered to try it myself. Good luck!

i've tried to grow out brine shrimp, they will stink up your room in no time!

also, brine shrimp are as nutritious to your fish as to what you feed them to harvest the. If you harvest them on a poor diet, they will be of poor nutrional value to your fish

baby brine shrimp however are very nutritious and most adult fish will eat them

the more I look at the ugly thing with little brown gunk on top of the water.. the more I wonder LOL... it sure is kinda yucky, but in order for it to stay warm enough, its gotta be in my house..

wonder if the lfs actually has baby brine shrimp... i asked at one, and he said the frozen ones are usually pretty big.. hmm, well. we'll see...

they are bubbling away....

good luck with yours, I've heard they are fairly difficult to keep alive... good thing all i need is hatchlings :)

I just buy frozen brine shrimp that come from San Francisco. My fish love them and the only hassle is taking the packet out of the freezer and breaking off a bit and thawing it in a cup of water taken from the tank.

I grow them from eggs to feed the fry. Its cheaper to buy them as eggs (sold as artemia shell less)
