there is a way to set up a tank for bbs so that the cysts and the bbs will be separated. you divide 1/4 the tank and paint the divider and sides black, so its pitch black in there. when you install the divider, you leave 1 inch on the bottom. drop the eggs in the pitch black side, and when they hatch, they will swim down under the divider to the light. it looks something like this
