I was in a chain of 'The Range' yesterday and spotted a new variety of live food for fish I've not heard of, I think it was brine shrimp, maybe other stuff aswell, in a 'nutricious' jelly.....anybody any idea if this is good for bettas?

I haven't heard much about it, and what I have heard, wasn't very good.

I hear it clouds up the water like nothing else

ahh that's a shame......i didn't buy any on the thought that it was probably going to be rubbish...so bummed my fridge freezer is bust, really want to get odin some nice food :(

awww live foods great but if your like me its hard too get hold of

I bought some of those Tetra sachets, not frozen, bloodworm in a jelly. I think they're called "Delice" or something. My guppies go mad for it, but Mr Fantastic will only eat the worms (not the jelly) and only if I sit there wiggling it around for him in the water. So I tend to give it to him right before a water change so that the gunk floating around isn't a problem.

If you have no freezer at the mo I would say these are worth a try, but only if they're cheeeeeaaapp!!! Not worth spending more than a couple of quid if they're not going to get eaten.

i use the blood worm in jelly from the range, my fish /shrimp love them .

not tried them on my betta yet, but will do soon

I got a package of Tetra Delice from a friend and my betta girls love it. If I put some on my finger they will jump an inch out of the water to bite it off. They go nuts for it. I can't find it in any stores tho. :( The girls love to chase live brine shrimp too. I have some pics of them at SuckyFish.

I regularly buy the Tetra fresh sachets and all my fish adore it except my Gourami. The Danios go beserk and rip blobs apart like frenzied sharks! :hyper:

I only use one sachet once a week though to prevent fouling up the water.
