This is probably hopeless but is there any way to stop my Red Zebras from breeding!

The obvious thing is to try selling the males but had no interest plus I dont have anyway of bagging and putting air into the bags to transport them. My local fish stores aren't interested either. My tank is getting way too full to be manageable anymore.

Alot of the fry get eaten by the fully grown Zebras but there are always some that seem to survive. I'm really stuck for ideas of what to do to get out of this never ending breeding!

I'm no expert with this.. but what about adding a bigger fish that's compatible with the adults but would feed on the young? A little cruel it might seem, but it's nature I guess?

You could introduce a predator, most of the synodontis catfish species would work. They would happily predate on anything small enough to fit in their mouths and smaller ones like s.petricola can easily fit in rock crevices the fry usually hide in.

Another alternative is to strip females as soon as you see them holding, and dispose of the eggs/fry. Sounds a little cruel, but better to do it before they are developed. :good:
