Breeding

I have a 54L (14 us gal.) tank currently empty and I would like to try my hand at breeding some SA dwarf cichlids, such as apisto's.
Is this large enough for such a project, or would I need multiple growing out tanks etc?
If it is enough how would I go about doing it?

Im sure that size would be okay for spawning, although u may need a large growing up tank to grow them on a good enough size quickly
